This is an ideal way to experience the traditional cuisine of Bologna, and to get a general feel of the more popular areas of the city. In fact, I have been on the tour twice, and the experience was wonderful both times.
The guides are friendly, engaging and knowledgeable. Highly recommend doing this tour at the beginning of your stay in Bologna to become acquainted with the city!
